| CANCUN, Q. ROO - The Mexican Agency of Communications
and Transportation (SCT) along with the Mexican Federal Police have launched a
campaign against illegal transportation companies operating at the airport. This
campaign is aimed to protect the passengers that need transportation from the
airport to their hotels in Cancun and Riviera Maya. "This campaign is
nothing new, it is a continuous effort by local authorities to provide the most
secure and reliable transportation to incoming passengers. It does cause inconveniences
to some passengers but only those that reserve their transportation with a non-authorized
transportation company. But, it is very easy to identify the companies
that are not authorized to pick up passengers at the airport. They usually lure
passengers by posting really low transportation rates on the Internet and when
the passenger arrives in Cancun they are either charged an extra fee or the company
is nowhere to be found and the passenger ends up having to pay for another transportation
at the normal transportation rate." - commented Mr. Heriberto Tapia,
CEO of CancunShuttle.com. Some passengers reserve
their transportation with a non-authorized company advertising on the Internet
and when they arrive in Cancun they find out that the company is not authorized
to pick up passengers at the airport. These passengers then have to purchase a
new service at the airport at the local rate that is usually double the price
of a regular service. To avoid all of these inconveniences,
please reserve your transportation with an authorized transportation company such
as CancunShuttle.com, the OFFICIAL transportation company for Cancun-Airport.com. |
